About The School of Addiction Studies

The Sober College School of Addiction Studies curriculum has been and continues to be designed by “real world” addiction treatment professionals. Much of the experiences of operating our own treatment center Sober College is brought to enhance the time you will spend in our program. This unique combination will get you prepared to venture into the field of Chemical Dependency Counseling.

Sober College, a residential treatment facility founded in 2005, is pleased to offer future leaders in addiction counseling a specialized development training program in the compelling and rewarding field of Chemical Dependency Counseling.

Branching out from solely treating young adults who suffer from substance abuse we are proud to have shaped the most current and up to date information into curriculum approved by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP).

This program will provide you with the techniques to work with individuals, groups and families and combines both classic and practical application.

It is designed for aspiring addiction counselors who have a passion to counsel those who are currently suffering from the effects of substance abuse by assisting individuals in recovery through identifying behaviors and problems relating to their addictions and then providing support for behavioral change and maintenance of sobriety. Sober College’s School of Addiction Studies has a strong rooted belief that counseling and recovery can transform and save lives.

Opportunities for alternate scheduling are available online, as well as rolling admissions for 6 month classroom hybrid experience to meet the needs of the working professional. Finely honed curriculum focuses on a science-based addiction education enabling professionals to provide the highest quality addiction counseling to individuals dealing with substance abuse or addiction.
